Training Needs Analysis.

Has your organisation identified the gap between the skills and knowledge (competency) the job requires against the current skills and knowledge of workers undertaking these jobs?

No? So, how do you know if they are competent?

Lack of a training needs analysis can result in gaps in learning that may increase risk of employees being harmed, or as the employer, you may not be meeting your duty to provide training.

• Have you booked training courses already without this knowledge?  In that case, the training selected may be ad hoc and not appropriate....resulting in wasted time and money with little value to workers and your organisation.

• Armed with the research of the required competencies, an accurate and tailored training plan can be developed, and the appropriate Internal and/or external training course and provider will be identified.
